French 4 2017- Upper Intermediate
Thursday Evenings 7-9pm
This course is intended for those who already have a good grasp of the language (good GCSE / 2-3 years study) and who are well motivated and prepared to work in their own time to consolidate their knowledge and progress to advanced language work. The aims of the course are to consolidate existing knowledge, extend range and complexity of vocabulary and grammar on most topics that are familiar or of personal interest and improve fluency. The emphasis is on conversation and active participation.
The course runs for 20 weeks, 2 hours per week.
The price of the course will be added during the registration process.
Course Fees are:
Discounted Students: £95
Discount of £30 if you are a returner or attending multiple courses (already applied to the discounted rates above). No more than one discount can be applied per year.

Attendance: Regular attendance is vital in order to make progress with your course. If you fail to attend three or more classes without notifying your tutor or the Language Centre, you will be considered to have withdrawn. Your place may be offered to a student on the waiting list; no refund will be given.
Refunds: Any refunds must be requested in writing to email@example.com by Friday 13th October at 4 pm and are subject to a £20 fee. No refunds will be granted after this date.
Study Abroad/Placement Semester: Students going on a semester or placement abroad in their second semester can receive a 50% refund once they have sent their receipt and evidence of their placement / study abroad to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Learners who are leaving Loughborough for any other reason before classes start up again in February can request a 50% refund minus £20.
In both cases, requests should be made in writing to email@example.com before class 2 of the evening course. Students who have not yet secured a placement can inform us of their intention to leave by the deadline and request a partial refund once their placement confirmed.
Cancellations: The University reserves the right to cancel any course which does not recruit a viable number of students. All refund will be made in this case.
Course Materials: Course books are not included in the fee.
Assessment: None. However all learners can request a Certificate of Attendance providing they attend at least 80% of a course. Email firstname.lastname@example.org on completion.
Loughborough University Students can gain points toward the Employability Award by attending an evening class course.
No classes during University vacations and exam periods.
