German Train

Monday Evenings 6.30-8.30pm

This course is for those who have completed level 3; it is also suitable for students with a good GCSE or 2 to 3 years of study. The course places an emphasis on speaking and listening, familiarity with aspects of German culture will be enhanced through the use of authentic audio/video resources.

The course runs for 20 weeks, 2 hours per week.  The price of the course will be added during the registration process.

Course Description

Learners will move towards level B1 of the Common European framework, which will enable them to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, at University, and during leisure time. Upon completion it is expected that learners would be able to:

- deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken

- talk about topics which are of familiar or personal interest

- Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions

- Briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
