German Train

Tuesday Evenings 6.30-8.30pm

This course is intended for students who have a sound knowledge of German and can take part in conversations freely.  Students may either have done an A-level, possibly some time ago, or have attended courses for at least 4 years and/or lived in a German speaking country.  This course is suitable for those who want to refresh their knowledge or want to prepare for a visit to or a longer stay in a German speaking country. 

The course runs for 20 weeks, 2 hours per week.  The price of the course will be added during the registration process.

Students registered in 2016-17: £95
LU and LSU Staff, Alumni, Campus Partner Staff and Concessions (pensioners, job seekers etc) registered in 2016-17: £125
General Public registered in 2016-17: £155
Students: £125

General Public: £185
Discount for anyone registered in 2016-17:£30 (already applied to the returner rates above). No more than one discount can be applied per year.

Any refunds should be requested in writing to languages@lboro.ac.uk by Friday 13th October at 4 pm. A £20 fee will be applied.

Course Description

The aim of this course is to enable students to confidently communicate with others in German through practice of oral language skills in class. Students will have the opportunity to extend their vocabulary and gain cultural knowledge of the German-speaking world. Reading will also be practised, often in conjunction with or in preparation of an oral activity.
