This Level 2 course module has been developed to teach Communicating HFE Information (Education and Training) as part of the CIEHF Healthcare Learning Pathway

 Intended Learning Outcomes: Having completed this module you will be able to:

 Level 2

  • Demonstrate use of HFE theories, methods, and tools for analysis of systems (including process), tasks, workload (physical and mental) including mental models, communication and anthropometry.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of systems theory including socio-technical systems and culture (e.g., organisational and safety culture).
    • Different audiences (Trust board to facilities)
    • Different specialties
  • Foster an open, multi-professional approach to patient safety using both reactive and proactive methods
  • Use case studies from healthcare and other industries to ensure a continuing focus on safety management
