Loughborough University’s Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Staff Network warmly invites staff, students, family and friends, and the wider community to help us celebrate our African/ Caribbean event: 

So, why not join us at Village Bar, and enjoy authentic African and Caribbean food and drink; live music; and much more! It will be held on Friday 21st June 2023 from 4:00pm to 10.00pm. 

This event also coincides with National Windrush Day on the 22nd June 2024, which marks the 76th anniversary of the arrival of the passengers of the ‘Empire Windrush’ to the UK. This gives us an opportunity to celebrate the contribution that the Windrush generation has made, and continues to make, in the UK.

A member of the REACH Staff Network will describe the amazing work that has helped to advance race equity during the past year. 

Dressing up - optional
Although there is no dress code, why not wear tropical colours and add to the celebratory occasion.
