Our University Choir brings together University students, staff and members of the local community and is open to anyone 16+. You do not need any prior experience, all abilities are welcome. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings, 7-9pm in Cope Auditorium (Edward Barnsley), term time only. The Choir performs two concerts a year in May and December and are often invited to perform at other university and community events.
Being a member is a fantastic opportunity to learn how to sing in a choir under the direction of the highly experienced Music Director Eleanor Graff-Baker. Singing in a choir can help you learn to read music and improve your own singing. For many people, singing in a choir helps with their wellbeing. It gives you a sense of purpose and connection with other people, can boost your confidence and help to relieve stress.
Autumn term membership runs from 29 September to 3 December 2025.
Membership includes rehearsal costs and the loan of sheet music.
