Detailed Description
Our Social Issues cards have been designed to help all designers, from students to professionals, to consider relevant social issues in their design work.
A series of relevant questions about the types of social issues that designers should consider during the design process are posed on the front of each card. The back of the card presents an illustrated case study to demonstrate how others have addressed the question posed.
The Social Issues Cards can be used as a stand-alone tool by individual users or by groups of designers to encourage discussion about social issues. Alternatively, they can be used in conjunction with tools such as the Design Abacus to encourage consideration of social issues alongside environmental issues.
