Detailed Description

The professional accreditation to ensure competency and experience for SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person) in Human Factors /Ergonomics and Patient Safety is a real focus for the NHS role of Patient Safety Specialist. 

The Human Factors Technical Specialist qualification ‘TechCIEHF (Healthcare)’ can be achieved by two routes:
⦁    Academic route: PGCert from CIEHF accredited course and mentorship,
⦁    Experiential route: 9 topics and mentorship.

Level 3 offers a clear route through mentoring to support the accreditation to TechCIEHF (Healthcare). The application for CIEHF Technical Specialist membership will be administered by CIEHF (with associated costs). https://www.ergonomics.org.uk/membership/
