Description

This is a limited Hall Membership specifically for students not living in a hall of residence, such as those living in town but who wish to take part in Hall events. This is primarily for students in their second, third and fourth years of undergraduate study, as well as those on postgraduate (taught and research) programmes but can also include first year or foundation students living in town or at home who would like to join the Hall life experience.

 

Detailed Description

 This fee includes:
·         A contribution to our Winter/Summer Hall Balls tickets (Please note this is a contribution and your hall may charge an additional amount for your hall ball.) 
·         A contribution to our Hall Day.  
·         Access to Hall-based social events. 
·         Access to our Hall-based ‘Refreshers’ activities (social activities following the conclusion of January examinations), typically at late January/early February. 
·         Furnishing our Hall Common Room 
 
This also allows you access to: 
·         Ability to represent your Hall as part of Loughborough’s intra-mural sport (IMS) programme. 
·         The ability to take part in Hall section events, such as Hall organised charity events (RAG) and volunteering opportunities (Action). 
·         The ability to vote in Hall elections (known as ‘hustings’) for committee. 
·         The ability to run in Hall elections for many committee positions, except Hall Chair and Treasurer who must both be current Hall resident students.
