ISE Trip to Twycross Zoo

Description

As part of the Springtime Staycation, join the International Student Experience (ISE) team and Chaplaincy team for a trip to the Twycross Zoo on the 1st April! Trip Details:

  • Date: Wednesday 1st April
  • Pick-Up: 09:45 from outside Wolfson School (Loughborough Campus)
  • Return: Arrive back to Loughborough University approx 16:00
  • Cost: Just £9!

Tickets will go on sale on 16th March.

Join the ISE Team and University Chaplaincy for a day out to Twycross Zoo! Discover one of the UK’s leading zoos, home to hundreds of amazing animals from around the world, set within beautiful woodland surroundings. Usually, an adult ticket to Twycross Zoo costs £22.45. But for this special event, the price has been discounted to just £9! This incredible price includes transportation to and from Twycross Zoo, as well as zoo entry — making it the perfect Easter treat! Meet fascinating animals, explore immersive habitats, enjoy daily talks and feeding sessions, and take time to relax in the scenic grounds. Whether you’re an animal lover, looking for a fun day out with friends, keen to explore more of the UK, or simply fancy something different, this trip offers something for everyone! Capacity is limited, and this trip is expected to sell out fast, so we recommend booking your ticket as soon as possible.

This trip is open to current home and international students, including doctoral researchers only. Dependents, unfortunately, cannot attend.

ISE Spring Lunch and Quiz

Description

Tickets are just £2 per person.

This price includes a 2-course traditional British dinner and dessert, to celebrate Easter and Spring with the International Student Experience team.

The event starts at 12pm. 

  • Date: 27th March
  • Location: Cayley Dining Hall
  • Please select your meal choices when you purchase your ticket.

Tickets will go on sale on the 16th March Contact the International Student Experience Team on ISE@lboro.ac.uk if you have any questions.

Meal choices as per below:

  • Shepherd’s Pie- Succulent Easter lamb in a deep, savoury jus, layered beneath a smooth buttered mash and finished with a golden, oven baked crust.
  • Spring Vegetable & Lentil Cottage Pie (Vegan) A perfect seasonal counterpart to Shepherd’s Pie: A hearty blend of green lentils, spring vegetables, and fresh herbs in a rich tomato and thyme gravy, topped with mashed potato and baked golden.

Trip Details:

  • Date: Wednesday 25th March
  • Pick-Up: 07:45 from outside Wolfson School (Loughborough Campus) or 08:00 from Amber Rooms (Town Centre)
  • Return: Leave York at 16:15. Arrive back to Loughborough University approx 19:00
  • Cost: Just £5! 
  • Tickets will go on sale on 16th March
