Description

28th April – 1st May 2025. A weeklong programme of lectures and talks from HyDEX partner university academics, providing insight to current innovations within the hydrogen value chain. The aim of the programme is to highlight how HyDEX is working to accelerate low carbon hydrogen solutions for the transition to net zero. The Hydrogen School is open to anyone with an interest in learning more about hydrogen and the latest hydrogen technologies and applications.

Detailed Description

The intended learning outcomes for the hydrogen school include:

• Awareness of climate change strategy and policy in the UK.

• Understand how hydrogen can be a realistic alternative to fossil fuel and meet the challenges of net zero.

• Understand the Midlands role in leading research and innovation in different hydrogen technologies.

• Understand the hydrogen value chain and the opportunities and challenges of integrating hydrogen into the energy system.

Day 2 (29th April)
Venue: Cranfield University
Coach travel will be provided from Loughborugh University. (Departure point TBC). Please note: There is parking available on Cranfield campus if you wish to drive.
Accommodation - Cranfield Management Development Centre or Mitchell Hall, Stay with us – Venue Cranfield 
 

Day 3 (30th April) 
Venue: University of Birmingham
You will need to make your own travel arrangements to University of Birmingham. We recommend taking the train. If you wish to drive, there is limited parking available subject to parking charges.

Day 4 (1st May)
Venue: Aston University
