Online - ongoing til 2027

This comprehensive blended learning programme covers all the content outlined in Levels 3 & 4 of the Patient Safety Syllabus in five courses listed below:

A.    Unpacking the systems issues
B.    Managing patient safety risks
C.    Understanding the cultural, legal and regulatory factors
D.    Involving those affected
E.    Designing solutions
The programme split is 2/3 online and 1/3 in-person.

Course Description

Programme Delivery
Each Course (A-E) has:
•    2-3 online on-demand modules.
•    Short bite-size lectures to introduce safety theories, models, and approaches.
•    Online interactive activities to support your learning.
•    A quiz at the end of each module.
•    At the end of each course, you will attend an in-person event to review, discuss, and embed your learning.
•    Finally, for each course you will prepare and submit a case study on a key safety topic (e.g. falls, medication safety, transitions of care).

The programme online delivery will start on 1 June 2025 to allow a registration and onboarding period with the In Person days commencing in September 2025.  A schedule of dates will be shared on request.
